Things to do include Dog Island Ferry excursions, charter fishing, kayaking, guided boat tours at Wakulla Springs, Panacea Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, and Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve. There are a variety of local seafood eateries and the supermarket is 5 miles up the road. Close by is the beautiful St. James Bay Golf Course and Resort, which includes a Robert Walker-designed 18-hole golf course – the area’s only designated Audubon Signature Sanctuary.
